WHERE WE STARTED
​
Chautauqua Court Resurfacing began as the creative endeavor of Maple Grove High School tennis coach Chris Johnson in 2016. When his school district contemplated the cost of resurfacing the tennis court vs. repaving the courts into parking spaces, Coach Johnson responded with an offer to do the resurfacing himself! Chris took the time to learn as much as possible by asking experts in the field, viewing lots of youtube videos, and familiarizing himself with the tools of the trade. His attention to detail and perfectionist approach resulted in a beautiful court that gained the attention of others locally and spawned a business!
Where we are now

The first employees of Chautauqua Court Resurfacing included Coach Johnson's family. His youngest daughter was just a month old when she started her first job securely tucked into her baby carrier on mom! Today, CCR is still family operated with all of the Johnson family happily included on many sport resurfacing projects. All three children have grown into responsibilities appropriate for their ages and have been a tremendous help to Dad! (Even our dog, Kip, likes to be a part of the action!) As a small business, we are so appreciative of all who support our work as it directly supports our family!

As the business has grown, we are thankful for the support we have received from others in the field of sport resurfacing and appreciate all referrals and work sent our way. We look forward to revitalizing and establishing places to play in your community! Our service area includes Upstate to Western, NY to North Western, PA and surrounding vicinities.
